Hi Guys I am looking for some help to identify the model of a ratty NS250 I just brought. The frame number starts MC11-101 & the engine number starts MC11E-111. I am trying to work out if this bike started its life as an R or an F model. It has different designed wheels to the 400s I have seen. Any help with this would be great !!!
If it's an unfaired model with a single round headlamp and six spoke boomarang comstar wheels it's likely to the F model. The F model also has an underslung braced swingarm. The R is fully faired with six-spoke star Comstar wheels and looks basically like an NS400R minus the lower right exhaust. Hope this helps
Thanks very much for that. It would appear it is an F model. Now all I need is some photos of how it should look so I can return it to its former glory......any ideas where to locate those ???
If it weren't for the NS... Honda would never have realised what a pile of crap the ATAC was and designed the RC Valve!!
Anyway, I remember you tinkering with the idea of an NS250 motor in an NSR frame (with pipe out the bum, Katoh style) not all that long ago! _________________ Andy.

That's very true Mis-er-ter Andy, I was indeed thinking of it. And where did I go looking for the engines? The scrappy! Just couldn't part with cash for a lump of rust and corroded aluminium
I too was thinking of making a Katoh rep outta an NS250 engine in an NSR frame. But then woke up and realised I'd spend a lot of money making the NSR heavier and slower!....not to mention NS250 engines are supa rare.
