Firstly i'd like to thank Andy for all his help with parts identification and advice, rebuild went ok today despite the weathers best efforts to delay things, theres nothing like trying to assemble top ends outside in the rain Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad is there?
Wiring and plumbing went ok,thanks to Honda for making things workoutable when you have forgotten where everthing goes!
She started almost straight away and sounds so much crisper,if only i had not lost rc valve l/h threaded nuts i could have ridden her,oh well i'll have to wait.
cheers rob.

Is that with the MC16 or MC18 barrels, I would of been hoping for quite a bit more if the '18 barrels are fitted.

Jeff managed to get 43.5 out of a set of stock MC16 carbs and barrels.

If the '16 barrel are fitted then its very good!

Dump the MC16 carbs and fit MC18 ones! You'll soon be heading towards late 50's I would say.

You may find you need a set of MC18 pipes too.

There are often '18 carbs for sale on ebay going for between £20-£40 per pair.

You're never going to get great power out of the MC16 carbs unless you have the F3 variants. The MC16 carbs are only 28mm, but the MC18 and MC21 carbs (which are similar) are 32mm.

I think I may have a spare set of MC18 carbs, but you'll need a manifold too.
