A complete Pro-Arm alone will cost half that!

Have you got any pictures or information. Yeah, I't bound to be buggered for that money, but you need to know how buggered before you pass it up.

Same thing as i thought - ill try to contact them (judging from the price im definalty sure it in need of TLC - full engine rebuild) and the new crank from honda, if any would cost practically the same as the bike and spending a hour on my lathe truing up the thing doesnt seem appealing) so most likly ill pass this one

BTW its in Tasmania (near Hobart)

For that money I'd have bought it there and then and took a chance, sounds like you've done alright.

For info $1500 AUS is 625GBP or $1250 US.

Fair play 2stroker! Smile

I can't understand the mindset of 2-Strokes Rule... why discount a bike before you've even seen it?! Sounds like you may have a bargain there; and I hope so!

haha, i did buy it there and then on sunday morning as soon as i saw it! just tucked it up in the garage, i am quite impressed with my purchase Very Happy i think for around another $5-600 and a little time and effort i could have easily a $6000 dollar bike as 2 Cool are so rare here.. that is of coure is was to sell it. i Think its going to be my track bike and i'll keep my 21 for the road! i cant get the smile off my face, two nsr's in the shed looks so much nicer than one (even if they are both in pieces) Very Happy

WHY YOU LITTLE F#@%

Nah, i dont really care - im a poor 16 yearold who needs to still get his licence lol and anyway the earliest i saw the ad was on saturday and when i rang up no answered (all 4 times) so even if i could contact him id make it for l8 sunday which'd bee too late anyway...

So how is the bike? what are the main problems? cylinder/piston and body?

(a 1.5k bike that claims to "needwork" would be in need of a fair bit of work wouldnt it?)

Anyway good luck with it.

i would have seen it if he would pick up his phone Laughing anyway even if i did see it i still wouldnt have got it (until after reading some of these posts) because if it had a stuffed cylinder i wouldnt have a clue how much recoating + new piston would cost...

how much is it btw?

I'm sitting here at college and feeling some what - pissed off, becuase now that i have thought long and hard about it; that NSR is probally my only chance of ever buying one Crying or Very sad

Becuase in sh*t hole tasmania Evil or Very Mad i probally wont ever find another NSR for sale which is a real shame becuase i had enough money to buy it (i only have 1.5k seeing as i havent gone to work for ages - at my dads friends shop) so seeing as it was ono i could have brought the price down a bit and my dad would have easily gave me the extra to fix it up...so now im really pissed Evil or Very Mad and what makes it worse it that i asked for help (reason for this thread) and what i wanted to buy was practically "stolen" - unless of course 2stroker was after that bike b4 i started this thread...

So anyway, i hope you have sucess with your new bike (itll make one more down here in tas; for me to watch ride by)

As far as I'm concerned, you had already clearly shown your disinterest; for several reasons - cost, condition, personal circumstances... er, lathe work?! Confused

What was everyone else supposed to do, wait until you had definitely maybe possibly made your mind up for sure?!

sorry!! but no i actually rang about it on tuesday... its in pretty good shape, ive found a new (second hand but good shape) rear cycinder already for $300, both new piston and rings will be about $300..body is really fine, just 1 plastic weld needed apart from that its nice. He wasnt negotiable on price because hed had a fair bit of interest so i paid $1500. Its not complianced but if i want to ride it on the road ill just swap the plates off my 21 onto it. 2 stoke-rules, i think mine are the only two in tassie but my 21 may be up forsale soon, ill contact you first if i do decide to sell. You wont beable to ride it after july anyway if your on your L's because of these new bull s#*t power to weight ratio laws! oh and im a poor 16 year old aswell but ive now got 2 nsr's!
