Are you sure you didn't loose the bearing in the shaft? _________________ james

Your going to have to take it apart. Something isn't right. _________________ james

You hve to pull the ide cover off. There is a shaft that goes though the center of the hub and that i what puhe the preure plate out. The shaft is actually in two pieces and a single ball bearing between them. Check the parts diagram on this web site. _________________ james

Make sure the pressure plate is on correctly. Check the plate stack for the proper order and measure the thickness of the stack. _________________ james

what about the part that the clutch cable moves could it be broken inside im talking about the spring loaded part that goes into the case that is at bottom of case thanks if so is there away just to check that
Anything is possible, but I doubt it. That spring really doesn't do much. _________________ james

I had a similar problem and it was just the steel plates were stuck to the frictions from minor surface rust, bike sat a while before I got it. Took everything out and brillo cleaned the steel and worked fine.
If you need clutch parts I have a hub and basket brand new. _________________
