Bodywork fasteners

Tue Mar 20, 2007 11:35 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

All,

Is there a catch all or all purpose set of fasteners for NSR bodywork? I have sort of a mis mash of different hardware because the clips or female portions mounted on the body work is not consistent. This includes the hardware that attaches the side panels to the radiator cover...thanks

I dont think anyone does a full body work fastner set. The genuine Honda ones, while exspensive, do really do the job and are worth the money really just because they fit so well.

Most Honda dealer should be able to get them as most are common though out the Honda range.

I don't think anybody makes such a thing for the NSR. You might be able to match something from another bike.

Try your local KART supply shop. They are complety held together with counter sunk anodized allen bolts with cup washers

The fasteners you are talking about are zues fasteners ? Like the ones than fasten the front fairing to the side fairing on a std nsr ? Most race cars use these to hold on body work. They are a bit bigger than the std nsr items, but same principal. 90degree turn = done.

There you go .. Looked up some Kart suppliers .. tons of bevel washers and different style fastners in many colors. Very Happy Very Happy And cheap too, unlike anything labeled for the NSR
Also found colored DZUS fastners Very Happy
