mc 21servo/ power valves

Just got a mc21 not running and was wondering if when you turn the ignition on you should hear the valves/ servos doing self test etc?

No. They should only move if they didn't "park" in the right spot. At least mine work like that on 2 different PGMs.

You're thinking of the RD350 aren't you? Wink

The NSR doesn't do that, though as said above, it will drive them to the start position if they weren't there at shut down. Manually rotate them with the ignition off, and then switch on to see if they move.

Very Happy not an rd i used to have a rz500. should the valves move freely? i can't move these at all manually, maybe a seizure?

With the ignition off and a slight effort you should be able to move the servo. If not, take the cables off and make sure the PVs are not frozen. If the servo does not work you may have damaged the PGM.
