Hi Guys. I've not been on for a while, very busy restoring the mc16, i know that forks hve been mentioned before, however if the forks and calipers from a VFR are used do the discs have to be used as well or can i use the MC16 also can i use the MC16 wheel, does it need different spacers? thanks Brian. P.S. Have a happy christmas Guys Wink

The caliper mounts on the VFR forks (I'm assuming you mean NC30) are spaced for 296mm discs, so no, the MC16 discs won't work.

You can probably use the MC16 wheel with the correct spacers, but the way to go is to transplant the entire front-end along with some MC18 or MC21 triple clamps.

Thanks Andy, if i can get hold of a good working set of calipers to fit the MC16 this would be ideal as the front wheel has been painted, i've tried to re-vamp the old calipers but they are locking in the on position and not releasing.I was surprised to find that the caliper pistons were not steel but some sort of plastic composite, i wonder if i can get steel pistons and seals?
Any ideas? Thanks Brian.P.S the discs have slightly wavey grooves are they supposed to be like that or completely flat. Cheers
