Flywheel 21/28 ?

Sun Jul 13, 2008 8:46 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hello guys,

I have 2x flywheels in my garage which I want to put on my for sale section to sell but have no clue to what bike they came off?

1st one looks standard with the following : 037000-2460 5JY DENSO Japan LKZ06

2nd one's pickup point may have been moved but not sure...the two pickup points near the "FT"(the closer to each other points of the four) marks are a lot closer to each other than the 1st flywheel.Other than that they are identical. Markings on the 2nd one : 037000-3321 DENSO Japan LKZ29

I will appreciate it if anyone could help me with this mystery!?

Thanks
Mario

Okay, so if yours is a 21 ( which you are not sure about ), then the 1st flywheel might be a 21 ? Can you maybe compare the 21 flywheel you have to the flywheel on your 28? ( If you still have the 28 flywheel on? )

Right then

mc21 037000-2641
mc28 037000-3321

The 21 flywheel obviously has it's pickup points the same distance apart as a 28 but thery're about 2mm further clockwise around the wheel as it's mounted.

'21 ones are worth something to '28 owners (not much, mine was US $25), '28 ones are worth nothing to anyone unless they've got a '28 without a flywheel.
