Im in the market for a new set of fairings as i sort of destroyed my old cheap glass ones buy trying to mod them a little.
Im tossing up between the RSW and OE version offered by TYGA.
Just want some info reguarding fitment of both items.
The RSW kit. Does it bolt straight on to the factory mounts, or do i need to move/modify brackets ?
The OE replacment im assuming just bolt straight on ?
Also, both kits both have the section behind the front wheel inclosed where as the genuine farings are vented. Does this effect cooling at all as there is no airflow that would normally run accros the chambers and engine.
I really like both versions. The RSW because its more modern and unique and has a higher screen, but i really like the classic shape of the geniune fairing too.
So i would like some feedback from people who have purchased and fitted either kit. How high is the quality of the glass ? Are the headlights in the RSW kit any good ? Any general feed back would be appreciated. _________________ Winning isn't everything, but loosing isn't anything
I dont know about the tyga fairings but would say they're a straight fit where as I got a speedfiber rsw fairing and it's needed to be chopped a bit but was cheaper than a tyga rsw and is really good quality. _________________ ive seen more tarts than mr kipling
What about the TYGA GP500 option? Its closer to the stock shape than the RSW ones, but still has the more modern look. Combined with the GP tail...Nice _________________ The Chopster

The problem is that Speedfiber was designed to fit an RS250 and not an NSR250 (like the TYGA RSW fairing).
TYGA built their molds off the original RSW body work that was modified to fit an NSR so you get the looks with a proper fit.
As a side note, the TYGA RSW windscreen does work pretty decently with the Speedfiber/ReplicastUK/AirTech RSW body work for an RS. At $25 (USD) a screen, it's a pretty decent savings over other options (none of which seem to be available in the US). _________________ Charles Gallant
