This is just a quick one to all the people using Tyga RSW style lower fairing
1. If using factory rear sets (steps) how did you get around the brake lever fouling on the faring ? I dont want to cut it. I was just going to bend it a little. Only needs to come out 5mm to clear the faring.

2. Side stand. This is a street bike so i cant remove it. I was thinking of riviting a small stainless plate where it rubs, and just leaving it rub against that, usless there is some 'trick' in moving/bending/adjusting the stand ?

3. Is it normal for the top triple to foul on the upper brace on full lock ? Once again, its not a major problem as your never on full lock when moving anyway, just cusrious.

i dont know if this helps mate as i dont use a tyga fairing mines a proper rsw but i still had the side stand on at first and it was ok,and i have rearsets so dont have brake issues.i have had to trim quite a bit here and there to fit the fairing so you taking 5mm would be fine .i think you have the good option of getting the tyga kit as i bought the rsw not even knowing if it would fit,and my dads face as i butcherd a brand new fairing was priceless .it fit spot on though to be honest i just had to trim more off when put the f3 rad on,and its needs a bit where the huge expansion chamber is on the right hand side

I don't have the RSW fairing, rather the GP500/250.

2. With the side stand mine only rubbed where the foot of the stand is when it is up. I ended up fitting a small grub screw in the stand body to allow for adjustment to the up position. But a glued on shim would probably have achieved the same. I also noticed that on my bike i had to trim about 5mm of the front near the radiator. It was very tight there, which made the fairing twist a little out of shape.

3. The top stay is the same between the RSW and my fairing and the triple doesn't touch on full lock. I spent about an hour tweaking the fit of the bodywork, and found that it was possible to get the bracket to fit either way. I ended up with it as pictured, ie with the frame end nearly touching the tank, and it clears everything.

In regards to Tyga's service, like you I ordered another fairing about a week ago, and it turned up yesterday. Fantastic service, and the T-shirts are even in larger sizes now to fit our more western pie eating frames.

Morgan i looked at your picture and your upper mount is a lot further back than mine at the moment. Im not sure if i can move mine back any further as the headlight is tight against the guage cluster already. Its not a real problem anyway. Im just gunna leave it. It only just touches. Might even come in handy if it ever gets into a lock to lock tank slapper

And yes, the quality and service is 2nd to none. Every single part is numbered and there is very little fuss to fit. I think i had the new kit on quicker than it took to take the originals off !!

I've the RSW Tyga as well. Just a question based on your comment that the light is hard against the instruments, have you added the extender tyga provide onto the instrument stay?

I had to fit the tyga steering restrictor to stop the mudgaurd hitting the fairing on full lock, other than that I had no issues at all when fitting the tyga RSW bodywork to my MC28. I did however have coerce rearsets already fitted. I also think the mudgaurd rubbed as I also had the tyga mudgaurde fitted at the same time. I dont think the standard one would have had the problem.

Yeah, i have fitted the spacer on the front fairing. The headlight isn't hard againt the guages, but it is very tight. All good though.

I cut a little from the faring to clear the brake pedal. I also adjusted the pedal up a little so there is plenty of room there now.


With the side stand i made up a little stopper bracket that comes off the lower fairing mount. Looks a little dodgy, but it works for now.




I also made up some side fairing stays as i think they are going to flap in the breeze when ridden. They are rock solid now
