Pulled my carbs off today to add the HRC stuffers and adjust needle heights, and ran across this :
Is the plug user servicable? It looks like there is some sort of lock pin holding the conductor. I've tinkered with it a bit using a small flathead screwdriver with no success. Thanks in advance.
if you can find yourself an automotive electrician they'll have the little pins that you can use to replace the broken pin inside the connector.
To get the pin out you have to push that pin inwards (away from wire direction), get something to push down on the catch latch on the pin and then you can pop it out. Sorry it's hard to explain, even more frustrating to perform!
Ha! Got it pulled out. It was rough, a two person job! I held the plug and pushed the latch down, the wife ejected the pin - it was wedged in there pretty good from that broken end.
