You're right, it's been asked (many times) before... try a search!

Some that have been used before:

ZXR250
ZXR400
RVF400
RGV250
RS250 (Real RS, not that Suzuki based Italian crap!)

All need modification.

If you are looking to just improve your front suspension. you can try using heavier fork oil 15 to 20 weight , dropping the front forks into the triple clamps an inch. like:

Higher rear and lower front = less likelihood of running wide in corners and quicker turn in. You can also get heavier fork springs??

I know people just wanna buy a second hand USD set of forks and just adapt them but its sometimes its just better to improve what you have unless u have a set of Honda RS250 forks.... Cool

my 2 cents...

Sorry to dig up this old post, but can you tell me what triples you are
using? RVF400 or other?

I am interested in doing the same front end conversion and appreciate
any info.

Thank you.

You need either the stock triples (for the stem) and the RVF ones (for the clamps) or go here:

http://tyga-performance.com/site/product_info.php?cPath=72_79_120&products_id=1763

My track bike has this front end on it and to be honest I notice no difference from my SP or SE with the standard ones. It does look nice, but the only reason it's there is because it came that way. I wouldn't go through the trouble of doing it though.

just a heads up on the TYGA triples if you are based in the UK and a carbon member you get 5% off our list price and if a titanium member you get 10% off www.jap4performance.com

Any rework required on the R6 yokes? Did you install the stock
stem into the R6 Yokes?

Thank you

Thank you for the link. They sure do look nice....

SP forks are hard to come by and or shagged ( those that I have seen anyway ).
But am considering all options. I also have a ZXR250 that I race and its suspension
has issues dealing with ripples in a off camber down hill turn, so
I want something that can deal with the ripples better than 20 yr old technology.

Hard to come by? You're in Japan! Imagine how hard it is for me to find parts here in the states. Rolling Eyes

I can imagine.

But finding SP forks in reasonable nick is becoming more difficult, even here.
