After failing to be able to fit anything i had into the tank that would reach the corner, i decided to weld the tank and get it back in shape. this is my first go at this so dont expect much.

Laughing

"I filled it with the tig welder..."

Novel! Very Happy

Why not just "weld" a gas welding rod to it, heat the area up, and pull the dent out? Another, slightly cruder way, is to use a slide hammer and then seal the little hole back up with the tig.

Got the job done, but a bit Heath Robinson I think personally.

Had a very similar dent in a TZR tank. Got most of it out with the welding rod method. The guy overseeing the job was a proper old-school panel beater, and finished it off... I was absolutely amazed at how little filler he used before it was ready to paint!

No talk about non-nsr vehicles in the general forum thanks Andy.

Hehehe. Laughing

I find it hard to believe, you of all people owned anything that wasn't an nsr.

I guess you really do learn a new thing everyday.

Why do you think I detest the internals of an RGV so much. I only speak from experience! Wink

We all (should) learn from our mistakes, and the RGV was probably one of my greatest! ROTFLMAO
