Hi,

The rims aren't from a SP model... The rear suspension could be either from a SE or SP model as they share the same shock... The front end though it is a SE model and not from a SP... The best way to find out what bike is this, is to ask from the seller the frame number... That will clear up everything for you...

Regards
Michael

Basically...no its not.

Getting the frame number might tell you it's definately not a Repsol SP (i.e. if the number is lower than MC28-1200001) but it won't tell you it is as every NSR made after 1995 had a frame number after MC28-1200001.

Added to that the R model NSR was discontinued in 1995 so any NSR with a frame number over MC28-1200001 that's not a Repsol SP is one of these;

These bikes all have a dry clutches and adjustable suspension. If any of them were fitted with some Repsol bodywork they would look exactly like the bike in your link.

For an mc28sp you're looking for fancy blue adjuster tops on the forks and Magtek wheels, the Magteks are easy to spot as the have flat rims which look like they could use a caliper brake instead of the little rolled over edge on the normal Honda wheels.

Gee, that's pricey for a bike that looks a bit rusty.

You can have my recently rebuilt and updated MC21 for $5500- if you want a bike in good condition with pics and rebuild parts receipts.

That sort of price (over £6000) would be top end price in a dealer for a mint example.

A rrivate sale 28SE with an aftermarket paintjob (which is what this is) would be somewhere just over 1/2 that.

Isn't the orange under "Repsol" on the side suppose to be red?
Chaingaurd from a wrecker doesn't look good either.
