Mc18 not revving out?

Sat Aug 28, 2021 2:09 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

First of all hello was on here years ago as liffy16 but I could not retrieve my account as my email had changed.
Anyway rebuilt my mc18 this winter had crank rebuilt by Steve at Gt, top end was ok just new rings.when first rebuilt after running in bike was flying and would rev clean up to redline.
Now though it won't rev past 10k checked float heights and there at 13mm even removed pump as I think keep valve is leaking,so now on premix at 30=1 anything else I can try regards colin

Could be old fuel or low battery charge. It's unlikely to be connections unless you have disturbed them.

If you use the search with power valve battery, you will get several topics similar to your question

Also, the power valve switches to a config setting at 2000 rpm, so you can check it is set correctly. It's worth reading through the tuning section for power valve setup https://nsr-world.com/tuning/250-tuning/engine/

No problem Andy, I knew this bikes were sensitive to float heights but that's something else, hardly moved them, just in the tolerance 13.5mm from 13mm
