Hi, not sure if this has been posted before (I didn't find anything using the search function). It appears someone in Japan converted his NSR250 to fuel injection a couple years ago. The page is in Japanese but if you translate the pages you get a good idea of what he did. I think he made and programmed his own fuel injection computer. There is even a page full of videos showing it in action. Very cool..

Has anyone else ever attempted this?
didnt Bimota spend gazillions and end up going bust trying to produce a fuel/oil injection system _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

The V-Due? Never quite ran properly and I dunno where all the production models ended up, but I'd have one! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

As a former Bimota Owner, there was nothing wrong with the injection system, it worked, the problem was with the engine, the comapny who won the contract made an error in the tollerances in the production line, Simon Watson (former Bimota Mechanic AKA Wally from Doc bush racing) got one working and it flew....but by this time bimota had spent loads investigating the injection and producing the bike so was to late...I think (lost contact with wally when i sold my bim) he did a few more and got them working but it wasnt cheap.....anyway sorry nothing to do with NSR's but im sure the injection system will work AND yeah id have a Bimota V Due Also Awsome looking machine
It's too bad most companies aren't spending any more time or money on developing new 2 stroke street bikes. I guess there isn't enough of a market for them or they probably still won't pass emission standards.
The person who converted the NSR to fuel injection had a little graph illustrating the power curve between fuel injection and carburetion. The blue line fuel injection, black line caruretor.
