Hey Barry, some time ago.... I found info on the net about MK-I and MK-II PGM-II's (MC 1. I can't remember where, when I have some more time I'll find it and post the site's address. I believe it's got something to do with speed restriction becoming law in Japan in 1989. When I get the bike back from the machanics I'll be able to send a pic through.
I'm a smart arse, but not smart enough to know the answer to that! I know the PGM 2 and 3 are different, as the 3 uses a throttle position sensor.
Anyone know? Matt perhaps? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

NSR250RG (MC16) - Pre PGM. This uses two CDI units with seperate RC valve control unit.
NSR250R2J or R4J (MC18 '8 - PGM CDI unit. Three additional boxes control RC valve
NSR250R5K or R5K2 (MC18 '89) - PGMII CDI unit. Integrated RC valve control.
From '90 on we all know the story.
I don't have any PGM numbers for the NSR250 R6K and there doesn't seem to be any literature out there. So I have to fail on that one. Maybe the R6K is the dodgy one?
Thanks for clearing that up Matt. Interesting bikes these,( or should that be character building?). One of the parts guy's I'm dealing with tell's me he's picked up a running bike, the PGM's on the way to the machanic's... thanks again, great site!
