Never seen it done, though I'm sure it wouldn't take much to fit a starter. The big problem may be the battery - it's tiny as it never needed to power a starter.

Is he unable to bumb start too? The NSR will start really easily - turning the back wheel by hand on a paddock stand will do it!

What did they do with the RGV. I remember someone saying that the electric starter was lighter that using a kick starter mechanism.

Does the RGV have a large battery?

Use your arm. I broke my ankle a couple of months ago & used my arm. I heard that not all NSR's will start this way. Confused

Presumably enough for gear change and brake though? A friend in the NG race club lost his lower left leg, so made a linkage to operate the gears with his right. He raced the Manx TT this year... Where there's a will there's a way!

yeah get him to try his arm, one of my nsr's i can just use my hand to turn it over, grab the kick start and push it down, 2 or 3 times and its away....BUT the other dose need a good kick(ing) lol so try before you buy, but having said that i thing the later is due to some other problem she runs good but is difficul;t to strat sometimes. good luck and as dave says if theres a will there is a way......hey if he's using it for track's a good mate could always give him a push start Cool

Yeah, I usually do. While its up on the paddock stand in the garage, I just reach over and push it a couple of times, usually fires up straight away. Wink

Yes Dave, all the 23's have electric boots.
I will be doing the detailing on this and the 28 over the winter.
Who knows - may even get to ride them next Summer! Rolling Eyes
