If you want it to look pukka, it's gonna cost! Have a look at Demon Tweeks site, they do some good stuff.

dont you mean the heavy ones with the outdated swingarms have got them to make their owners feel a bit better about not buying a 21.

No, I don't;

The '28 is the rarest and the trickest, and as a track bike the bits everyone says are pointless (digital dash and single sided swinger ) are in my opinion the best bits, no scuffling around on the floor in the rain trying to get that bleedin axel through before the next session, no dumb bit of tape over the speedo etc.
And the '18 is the lightest, easiest to derestict and the most authentic to the race bike it's supposed to replica.

As a road bike my RVF pummels any NSR into the floor. It never goes wrong ever, starts at the press of a button, pulls from tickover, does 45 mpg, doesn't burn oil, is relatively comfy and the handling/braking disadvantage is too small to even show on the road.
To be fair you won't ride your NSR 10 miles across London and I know a guy who rode his NC' to Vals De Viennes and Nogaro (from the midlands) for a fortnight trackday extravaganza

Power wise you can argue all day but the fact of the matter is all NSR's are pretty poor as standard.

You could indeed argue that the '21 has none of the best bits of any of them Wink

Fontyyy you are clearly the only ... in the village! Wink

I freely admit to loathing riding it in London, especially having to deal with the stinking potholes and nutcases in south london trying to kill you on purpose!

Don't worry I'm not afraid of a few miles... I rode my 28 from Alpinestars near Venice to the Akropovic factory in Slovenia to pick up an exhaust! My god my arse hurt!! Give me Goldwing any day... Or a 21! Razz Wink

That really depends what you bought it for.

My FJ pummels the RVF into the floor at just about everything in normal use. It's faster, more economical, carries more, soaks up the UK pot holes better, does more to a tankfull, carries my passengers in more comfort and without handling like a pig, runs heated clothing, intercoms and music without frying the regulator, and is cheaper to service.

Horses for courses Fontyy. The RVF is a fantastic bike, just a bit borig compared to a 2 stroke innit?

And isn't it about time we stopped all the 'my willy is bigger than your willy' stuff? It used to be light hearted and funny, now it seems a bit too serious...

Before we finish the subject and the argument about which NSR is best...I have an MC18, and MC21 and an MC28.....and I am with fonty, the 28 gets the most attention whenever you pull up anywhere and is certainly the rarest and the trickest. But as Dave says, its horses for courses, if you want a trick (standard) road bike then the 28 is my favourite, if you want a track toy then its probably best to get the 18, if you want a mixture then get the 21......but thats only my opinion...each to their own I say!!!! At the end of the day they are all great bikes and its easy to argue the good and bad points of each of them.

Thanks for the info and bitching about 21/28/18!!!! The AiM dash does look great.Does anyone know who sells these and at what cost? I looked at the link to ebay for the other dash board they are cheap but the quality looks a bit suspect.
