What do you guys use to seal the crank case up after replacing the crank. Is it some kind of gasket maker that Honda sells, like Yamabond?

That's right Steve and John.

Let get it done......

Steve..I used Hondabond for my race car engine rebuilt in the past.

I think you can still pick it up at the Honda Auto dealer.

Thanks

STEVE,
I used Permatex MotoSeal 1 Ultimate Gasket Maker Gray item #29132. Believe it or not, this is what the Honda dealer in Japan gave me to use for sealing the cases.

PM me your home email address and I will send you a few really good pics that I obtained from JHA that explain how to properly port and epoxy your NSR cases.

Permatex MotoSeal 1 Ultimate Gasket Maker works well, but it's a bugger to use. Pretty much the same as Threebond 1104.

Threebond 1211 is what I use and it's good, but it takes a little time to cure. Another very good one is Threebond 1207B, but costs a small fortune. HRC use this.

Alternatively you could use raspberry jam. Doesn't work at all, but you get to lick it all off the motor as it squidges out.
