Its nice and I want £2700 ovno. It only has 5000kms on the clock, has a dry clutch, remote reservoir rear shock, KISS box, and has been re-jetted.
Otherwise unmolested.
I've had it for the last 3 years, looked at it more often than used it, and at 55 am begining to look a bit daft on it (especially as most people seem to think it is a 125 and my L plates have fallen off). A policeman even referred to me as 'sonny' before I took my helmet off.
Thanks for the advice. There is currently an older SE on Autotrader for £2995 with more miles, and I know a bike shop in Stoke sold two last year both with over 20,000 miles for the same price. I would like to think that mine is a bit nicer, but obviously you get less selling privately.
I am really surprised with the response as I put it on Autotrader because it was far cheaper than MCN, and got two calls the same day. And there actually isn't a proper category for the bike, you have to put it on as a NSR125 then phone them up to change the advert.
You could well be right, in which case I'll hang on to it for a while longer. I guess its really not the best time of the year either. I am in no hurry.
I think you got a great price for a modified bike. Must have been really nice.
His 21 was as clean as yours (just seen your add advert) if you get it sold let us know as most 21's go from 800 poor - 2000 for a real good one, billy got 2600 as his bike was the exception, fantastic and very very clean.... youll see Franks bike near the top 97 points have a read he got 3600 for his but that is the highest iv heard of....
Anyway dont sell it keep it and come on some track days with us!!
I think Mikes bike may be worth more cuz its basically stock, but it does not look like a real SP to me, which means less $$. The body alone costs 1,500p new. _________________ james

Sold last night for very close to the asking price. Buyer came armed with full check sheet and pictures from a certain Jamie based in Japan who I assume everyone knows.
Please note the bike was not misrepresented, and 'SP' appears nowhere in the advert, because I could not be certain. You never can, particularly with an import. The guys knew exactly what they were buying and took a good hour examining it in detail. As I said it was very nice and clean, and very lightly used. I think they have got a good bike for a fair price.
Hope it raises the value of some of your bikes a tad. Classic Japanese bikes seem to be increasing in value at the moment, and I guess there is only a small dwindling supply of NSRs now in the UK. I sold my TZ350 and TR3 a few years ago for a good price, although I had to wait for the right buyer. The TZ in particular in now probably worth more than twice what I sold it for, and I sold in for more than twice what I paid for it. a few year's before (from Neal Tuxworth).
The NSR has gone into what looks like a private collection, and I have a few bits and pcs left, and some spares and tuning stuff I bought some while ago, which I assumed they would have no use for, but have no real idea what they are worth. I was toying with the idea of racing it when I first bought it, but in fact bought an RS250 Honda instead from Neal Hodgson's father (who used to import them). I have some NSR tuning parts, some new, mostly never fitted. I came to the conclusion they are best just derestricted and then left alone for the road, but I guess you lot will disagree. I'll get around to advertising them here when I can find them, find out exactly what I have got and what they are worth.
Thanks for all the replys posted.
I might get another RS250 (Honda). If I do will I be allowed on your track days?
Congrats Mike.I think you did OK. In the stts it probably would have been a bit more. _________________ james

Now the bike's sold, I can move the topic to discussion!
If you have comments/point of view for the seller, in future please e-mail or PM them. This advert became so cluttered with posts it was in danger of being removed.
THE CLASSIFIEDS ARE NOT FOR DISCUSSION!
As I do with eBay links not in the correct thread (if those people cannot be bothered to advertise here, or simply don't know about the classifieds, then I don't see why the Forum should fill up on their behalf!), I will delete posts without warning from now on.
On a different note, if you were to get another RS250 Wapdad, then of course you are welcome on our track days! There's at least one other Forum member with a running RS250, and one restoring one here in the UK.
Congratulations on the price... shame about the sale! _________________ Andy.

Please DO NOT PM me for technical advice. My time is precious, and you will probably receive a faster response on the Forum anyway.
IMHO IF this bodywork is standard o.e. '21 Rothmans SP it's easily worth £2.5k or so, in the current market an sp is it's bodywork.
If not it's worth naff all.
IMHO the standard sp paint scheme looks crap compared to a proper rep. _________________ If you dont like the way that i ride.....Stop trying to keep up!!!!!

No, they were the ones they couldnt sell so they had to come up with a new gimmick to con the poor fools into buying all the ones they had left in the shed.
Who wants to buy a deresticed '21 that makes less power than a restricted one any way Dave? _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
