OK it's not a Honda - but if I put some Honda stickers on it no one will notice.
It was just too good to miss and quite a bit cheaper than an RS250, and I had to spend my NSR money on something otherwise 'er in doors might snaffle it.
Does this mean I can still come for a track day or to. When's the next one, next year? Or am I now banned?
It's a 2-stroke, so it's welcome... hell, we even let some Suzuki's come last time!
Seriously though, as long as it ain't got cams, then it's welcome!
There won't be any more NSR-WORLD 2-stroke dedicated track days this year, but expect to see 2 next year. The spring (some time just after Easter I would imagine) will be at Llandow, and then things are brewing for a bigger event later in the summer at one of the more "famous" circuits.
Also, with 4 or 5 NSR's expected to run in a few rounds of the F250 championship next season, there is a good chance we will be gatecrashing a few track days for "testing" purposes! Of course we will then be trying to make a bit of an occasion out of any test days by getting as many NSR's/2-strokes along for the hell of it! _________________ Andy.

Thanks for the inclusion. Look forward to meeting you all. Plse note I am well past my sale date.
This is probably heresy, but I think there would be a good demand for up to 400cc track days. There are plenty of 400 bikes on Ebay, and in my experience, unless you are a track god, riding a 400 at a normal track day is 'challenging' as you are passed on the straights by bikes up to 50 mph faster, and many riders seem to stop the bigger bikes mid turn as you come whistling up behind them on your ear.
We had to stop 125's racing with the other racing bikes in the Forgotten Racing Factory Class because the closing speeds were just too dangerous.
So how about inviting 400cc bikes (to humilate). You should then be able to have a full complement for a track day at a major circuit.
If you want any help with this let me know (providing I haven't now been banned for life).
Alternatively forget I said anything.
I am now looking for a TZ750 so I don't get left benind.
not that I'm in the same country or anything... but here the 400's race against the 250 2 strokes and are a reasonable match with the results being a good mix without either type really dominating (although there's more 400s than 250s).
I think it would be a good day for all if there was an up to 400cc track day. I'm sure a whole load of the 400gb lads would come along as well as some of the RG lads. _________________ If I have to take the carbs off once more...
Don't you start, my wife is always saying what a plonker I look in my vintage Raybans.
Not exactly 'Top Gun' I know, but my excuse is they are prescriptions, and are big enough lenses so I can actually see through them when I am flat on the tank - which does seem to help a bit in working out when I should brake.
I highly recommend them for the sporting visually impaired. I also think they are really cool, and have the matching cowboy hat, which I wore at Croft early this year. However, instead of standing out as a picture of sartorial elegance, I disappeared into a crowd of ponytails and dodgy tatoos. In fact I looked vaguely 'normal', which is an achievement in itself .
I don't know if anyone else has tried racing in 'varifocals'. It is rather interesting as even straight lines look curved. 'Honest John' in the Telegraph thinks people should be banned from driving in varifocals after he watched someone driving into his car in Sainsburys wearing them. I can't park in them to save my life, but then I never could.
Back to polishing the kit for next year.... 'Shiny is good' - my new mantra after years of riding rat bikes. I intend to campaign to have the gloss level measured on all bikes (and riders) at meetings in the future and issue trophies on that basis, which is about the only way I am likely to win another one.
