I'm gonna leave this here because I think it will only turn into a discussion on the Classifieds board else!
** Please post ALL e-bay links on the eBay thread. **
From today, ALL eBay posts, regardless of who makes them (that includes Admin/Moderators) that are not in the correct thread will be deleted without recourse. _________________ Andy.

I put it here Andy because I ment it for discussion, not to promote its sale. It would be pretty kewl to have for track days if ot wasn't so exotic. _________________ james

My reply was a (not so) subtle hint at the way some of the recent Classified adverts have turned into discussions, and the "reminder" after it is because of the increasing number of eBay posts that are not in the correct thread.
Back to the 500V - I was almost dragged (kicking and screaming... yeah, right!!) to Vegas last summer to look at a 500V with a Forum Member, but the lack of spares package ended up dissuading him to buy it! I think at some point there will be a 500V on NSR-WORLD track days in the UK though!! _________________ Andy.

How many 500 production racers were made (compared to the RS250)? How much is a used one really worth? Is it really a v-twin? _________________ james

I'd say that was a little expensive. He's listed it as new also but then says it's been restored, so it's likely an ex- Shell Advance or TSR bike... I've seen a few pop up in the UK and they're usually around the 30-35K mark, with spares...
Yes it's a V-Twin. HRC initially used 2 CR250 engines/barrels as a base then developed a specific unit. Apparently they were harder to ride than the V-4 at times, due to the huge torque and crank spinning the wrong way. Made them wheelie monsters. _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
As Max says supposedly far harder to ride the the V4.
Click for a bigger (but no more friendly looking) dyno chart.
The unleaded version at least looks slighty useable.

It's probably better if you don't look at the cahrt really... 105Kg with that curve(cliff ) and torque spells 10ft HIGHSIDE... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
LOL that's just funny... At 10,000 it's making 70bhp more than my mc21, and weighs in at 20Kg less... _________________ NSR300R - Why did i ever have a 250...
Holy light switch, 60 hp in a thousand RPM. Sounds like a ride to me. Where do I sign up??? _________________ 1995 A kit TZ 250

I was thinking it would be easier to ride since it had less HP than the v4, yet was still competitive. I think $35K would be a more resonable number. _________________ james

I think he meant he'd take care of them as in nurture back to full health, as they're obviously not well in the head to be risking posting Ebay stuff on the discussion thread! _________________ MC21SP Plaything

If you look at the start of the graph line it makes 45hp at 8250rpm and then goes on to make 80hp at about 100rpm more but at about 60hp the revs seem to drop back to 8250rpm which I dont get as how can the power jump from 45hp to 80 when it looks like the revs are droping _________________ Harley Davidson is the worlds most efficient way to turn petrol into noise without the harmful side effect of horsepower.
