Trickest MC21 rear?

Mon Mar 12, 2007 4:07 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

The F3 is almost finished!

After Tom left yesterday I set out digging out all the F3 parts needed to fit the RS rear wheel he had dropped off.

The '21F3 now sports a MC21 F3 rear shock, F3 chain adjuster, F3 rear caliper and hanger, Mod'ed swinging arm, F3 crush drive and now a RS250 magtek.

so what is the mod to the swing arm? Was it a change to support the caliper hanger? Also, what is the difference between the F3 chain adjusters and the stock? They both look the same to me?

Hey Steve-O, if you want a nicer rear sproket, Steve Patrickson from SP125.com can get some nice AFAM ones made up to replace the RS one that you have. I had a 40 tooth made up for mine and it came in that nice factory dirty brown anodising... Wink

Only one chain adjuster is different because of the way the F3 caliper is mounted. There are a couple of mods to the swinging arm, one is the mount for the torque arm the other is to do with the F3 chain adjuster.

I want to try and find the Honda sprockets Maxim really. I can get other size though Renthal if I need though.

That wet looked about as old as the RS it came from when I saw it as well! It's a 4.5 inch wheel isn't it Steve? Just a lot lighter than the stock Magtek...

Yeah the wet has seen much better days. I havn't weighed the RS magtek againest a stock ones but there is quite a bit of loss just by not using teh NSR sprocket carrier.

I had to use a RS wheel anyway as the F3 chain adjuster wont fit a stock wheel. The wheel has cleaned up quite well though once I got scrubbing.
