Have got a '21 with a '28 motor. Just recently the bike has developed a light clicking/clunking noise when pushing it around the shed by hand in neutral. it is louder when rotating the back wheel fwd than in rev. I suspect a noisy gearbox output shaft bearing. Could this be the case do you think? The chain has been tensioned IAW advice elsewhere in this site, although 15mm of slack feels bloody tight to me
If so, is it an easy fix to swap this bearing or does motor come out?
Thanks for your reply Matt. I only put the motor in 2500km ago and the front cog looked good then, so didnt occur me to suspect that might be it, thanks.
If you slacken the chain off, does the noise go away? May be the bearing and the chain is causing the extra tension to create the noise... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
