Found an old video today of the 1993 German 250 GP.

The Honda was the bike to have by the looks of it, nice to see the Suzuki was the bike not to have... rubbish GP bike only fair they make a rubbish road bike to go with it I guess... Laughing

Jamie Robinson's ride was memorable... for being parked at the side of the track at virtually every event! Laughing

They had John Kocinski, but even with him on it they were lucky to get in the top 15.

Way, way back many centuries ago, I believe that Zeelenberg and some other dude were riding the Suzook at tests and complaining how slow it was. Allegedly Schwantz jumped off the 500 and aboard the 250 and went over a second quicker than either of them after just a handful of laps.

Kocinski did actually make it look like a good bike at times. Then again, he was a tad talented even if a little strange!

Bayliss came good eventually, and Robinson, well, he was pretty good at painting helmets.

According to the data aquisition on JK's RGV250GP, it blew up because he stomped it down into first then dropped the clutch... From 6th Shocked

It is said that he was a tad peeved at its slowness losing him the race Embarassed

No I won't rise to it.......................

oh ok for a laugh.............

You guys are weired, always slagging RGV's off. You think about them far too much than is healthy. Envy perhaps? I can't remember the last time I saw an NSR out on the roads or a featured in magazines, unless it has a fortuna sticker on (Aprilia sponsor now lol)

If I was you I would have waited until the END of this F250 season Laughing

Can't blame lack of success on lack of experience as you also seem to assume Suzuki should have brought a Honda RS250 beating bike to the first couple of seasons of WGP250. We know the GP bike was crap, big deal, at least Suzuki looked after it's UK fans and treated them to an official import. Honda didn't give a f cu k about you lot Laughing

I notice you don't mention current RSW Aprilia dominance.......GO LORENZO Laughing Stop the HRC superiority complex filtering down to average Honda riders they are obviosuly trying to make up for a lack of something, maybe having a charismatic rider on their bikes? Oh Honda don't like that I forgot, any (over-rated) robot will do Laughing

Honda are not going to win ANYTHING this year ha ha ha ha ha Well, they might luck the WSB but that is worthless anyway, where is toseland going to ride? Oh it's sooooooo sad seeing another rider pledge his loyalty to the mighty HRC to be given a crap ride and failure in 2008. Poor JT.

I look forward to your pointless, statisic based replies Wink

All in the name of fun of course!

I agree totally.

But about F250 this year Ive ridden Stephens F3 (something which you havnt so your not in a place to judge if the F3 is better than the VJ23 so you shouldnt)and a good VJ23 and theres no way the 23 is anywhere near the F3 in terms of performance and I just couldnt fault the way the F3 or the VJ 23 handled so I THINK if they have a good rider on the F3 then I will like you be intrested to hear the excuses as why the NSR F3 didnt win because it should.

This is the views of an owner a k6 GSXR1000,3 NSR 250's and wants to get a TZR 250 3XV so I'm not biased .

Oh Sean we love them really... Maybe.

I almost bought a VJ23 once from West Coast, nice P reg with about a 1000 miles, as I'd already had 2 MC28's, but then a friends completely bog standard one that he looked after impeccably lunched itself, seemingly eating it's gearbox and top end at the same time.

He owned MC21's, 28's, 2MA's, 3XV's and TZ125/250 and RS250 Honda and had never seen anything of the like! So I didn't buy it based on that.

And yes, I stand by that ALL Suzuki's are made from chocolate, not a nice Belgian Dark chocolate, but a sort of corner shop, Milky Bar White chocolate! Wink

The way I look at it is, Honda's customer RS250 in kit form is almost as fast as a full factory Aprillia RSW which is a whole lot faster than any Suzuki 250.

Maxim, I didnt know Suzukis were made out of that sort of really cheap chocolate Shocked

I didn't, read again, I just said I'd have waited until after the racing before I started slagging the opposition Wink

If the NSR does well then it will be well deserved as there is some good competition out there.

Yes out of the factory Suzuki quality is not the best but the fabled Honda quality has definatley fallen over the years to keep prices down.

I see the Honda reliabilty shining through at Donny today Laughing

PS There is a Honda 2003 in my garage so I am allowed to comment on
that Wink It's got a Ducati regulator for goodness sake!

Honda's customer RS250 in kit form is almost as fast as a full factory Aprillia RSW
Earth calling - can you hear us? Laughing
