I have rebuilt the MC16 engine with MC18 barrels - I'm trying to fit the exhausts, the gaskets seem too thick, and I can't get the pipes on the barrels . I looked up the part numbers and they check out as the right part for the MC16 and the MC18.
The barrels are MC18, the pipes are standard MC16.
16 pipes are really awkward to fit, their manifold ends seem to interlock inside each other when you fit them to the cylinders and you need 3 pairs of hands mabe try connecting them loosely at silencer end to take the weight and holding copper gaskets in place with a bit of grease or sommat,or get some 18 ones

MC18 pipes are certainly the way to go on the MC16 Mat... or F3! _________________ Andy.
