well as the title says my bike was stolen last night from my yard in darlington.
Then recovered no more than a mile away where they abandoned it (they did not turn the fuel on!!)
so i am now in need of a few spares to get it back on the road.
please see the wanted section.
Same thing happened to me about 7 years ago when I lived in London. Someone picked up the MC28 and stuck it in the back of a van. I'm guessing the smartcard flumoxed them as they dumped it about two miles away. They had cut through all the wires and tried to twist em all together in the vain hope it might start. When that didn't work they screwdrivered open the fuel cap and tried to set fire to it. Thankfully they couldn't even get that right!!
Take my hat off to the police, they called me before I had reported it. I've had two other bikes stolen since then, not a nice feeling.
Sorry to hear you bike got nicked but at least its back .

I had my HRC spec CR500R stolen a few years back. I hope it killed who ever took it lol
It probably did _________________ Harley Davidson is the worlds most efficient way to turn petrol into noise without the harmful side effect of horsepower.
Yep, someone tried to take my racebike (which I'd foolishly left outside after delivering my RVF to it's new owner), they presumably thought you could just bump start it. It was about 300 yards from my house in a carpark round the back of the electrical shop.
I thought it wouldn't be real criminals as they didn't take the other mc28 next to it so had a cruise round to see if I could find it before I went up to the cop station.
I only live in a little village and I grew up here, I know where you take stolen bikes if you're a pesky kid.............. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
No Steve, your CR500 didn't kill the stealer. It's doing fine in my CR250 chassis thanks
Seriously though. If you steal a CR500 then you'd better be prepared for a slap in the face. When I first rode mine, matey pulled it off the back of the truck, fired it up, I rode off and it slapped me in the first three gears so I held out a wad of cash. My mate Shane quickly jumped on board and it then slapped him in the face. Everyone should own a CR500 just for one day at least.
Going back to subject, I had my FZ600 stolen back in '88 and it was then involved in a police chase a couple of days later after some dudes had done a smash and grab on it. It was totalled when I got it back.
Also had my Dash 125 nicked here in Thailand. That gutted me even more than the bore stroke being nicked. Then the icing on the cake was my Honda Dream 100 wheelie machine getting nicked. Couldn't believe that one 'cos it was a right piece of poo. I must confess that I just shrugged and said oh well.
Someone stole my four-stroke 2 years ago... my VW Golf GTi! The car going missing wasn't the end of the world, but the 3 cranks, 4 barrels/heads, and various other NSR bits that were in the boot (trunk) at the time were invaluable really.
Good job it wasn't 2 weeks earlier. My Ethos pipes and toolbox were in the back then!
Naturally the insurance company wormed its way out of any liability for it all!
If someone stole my car right now they would get an F3 transmission, an MC21 ramair kit, a couple of dead cranks, an MC18R2J motor, an MC18R5K subframe, and three 17" GPR70SP's!! _________________ Andy.

Around 2 months ago I had my MC16 stolen from my garage opposite the house. It was a couple of 15 year olds. They took it in broad daylight and pushed it over a mile to the nearest filling station,(there was no fuel in it).
It was found abandoned 3 days later waith the fairing and the side panels,(seat section),ripped off and much the worse for wear.
I didn't have it insured-it was off the road for restoration.
It cost me £165 the collect it from the police.£105 for recovery and £60 storage while they fingerprinted it!
The two toerags were arrested, (probably given legal aid), and then released without charge.....
The police were very sympathetic and even slipped me the names of both of them.Revenge would be nice but I don't want to worry about paint stripper on the cars or my other bike.......
It is time the law was on the side of us,THE TAXPAYERS, not the ASBO generation who treat our hard earned, paid for bikes as disposable toys when they are bored.
i totally agree mate im just lucky that mine was not badly damaged.
from now on my bike will be living in the luandry room in my new house(wife does not know this yet).just to top things off the police have told me who's prints where on the tank and they only live two streets up from my old house.they are 13yrs old and 15yrs old so they will no doubt be let off with slapped wrists.
The law don't give out justice, they just give our money to them who break the law to keep em sweet. Take it from me i work there, i see it everyday, 18 yrs bitter and twisted.
my Honda monkey bike was stolen from my garden in cardiff 2 years ago, it was brand new and cost me £1800 plus registration a years uninsurance tax dvla fees ect.
i contacted the police and the insurance company and tried to make a claim, the insurance company offered me £150 as they said thats the book value .
i didnt hear from the police again till 6 months ago when they phoned me at work saying that they have got the bike and the person who stole it.
as they had the bike 3 months before contacting me the place wer the bike was being kept as evidence!! tried to charge me £800 to pick the bike up, the bike had been striped and smashed up so wasnt anything near worth colecting.
thats ok cos i can get some money back from the court maybe only that the guy told them he braught it in the pub and couldnt remember who had sold him it so got let off with a warning.

God, you guys got the culprit and you're just sitting there? In Malaysia, that guy would have been either dead or injured permanently. Our justice system is just like the UK (Of Course They Colonise Malaysia). But we sometimes take justice into our own hand. Which can result in good anger management therapy from beating those ass hole up.
