Is the header tank used as mine never goes up or down.If i dont need it i might mod and connect it to the oil tank to save carrying around an exter bottle of oil.How much does it hold?
Do you mean the two stroke oil tank tucked inside the frame? _________________ MC21SP Plaything

i think hes talking about the header tank for the rad dave. if i read this right we are talking disconnecting the rad header tank, and plumbing it in to the oil system to give another oil tank. i would not disconnect the header tank. its there to collect the water pushed out the rad as the coolant heats and expands. and returns it to the rad as it cools. the fact that your coolant level never drops shows you cooling system is in good working order. with such a small amount of coolant in the nsr engine even a small loss could cause trouble.
You don't use it on a race bike, so it's removed as a weight saver, but then, you only do 15 - 20 miles per race so it gets topped up all the time.
If you only ever ride from home, to home, then yeah you can get rid. Otherwise, it'll be a pain as you'll need to continually top it up anyway... _________________ MC21SP Plaything
