We need someone who can translate Japanese to English to talk to him for us.

What a great resource someone who could do that would be.. No more HRC cards and to get a stock one you have to shell out the $1000+ for the whole PGM with card. Why o why didnt i get an 030 card while i still could Crying or Very sad

I would like one if you can get it reporgrammed. Failing that if he can reprogramme a PGM IV I have that has no card to match either one of your cards or a card I have then that would be great as well.

Would be extra cool if someone could make a hybrid card with the speedo and warning lights working with the maps of the HRC 030.

IE (power commander type thing)
Very Happy

Leigh and I guessed that all the card tells the PGM is;

a; it's serial number (so it knows it's not being nicked)
b; what card it is, i.e. the PGMIV "knows" all the ign curves, what display to use etc.

This little hypothesis is based on the fact you can remove the card if you run the HRC loom and the bike still works. In fact if you turn it off (with the kill switch) for a couple of seconds then back on it'll start again, nothing needed is held on the card, once it's told the PGM what to do it's seemingly redundant, it's just a switch.

I doubt a stock PGMIV can run any other maps than the available cards. Even the 525 which was an HRC special might be for a totally different (internally) PGM.

That is a very cool picture. Shocked

Maybe the answer is not in replicating the card, but removing it entirely by working out what signalling is sent over the wire to the pgm / dash or what ever else makes it go....

I should have got a 030 card while they were still programming them. Although im fairly confident someone will find a workaround , with all the demand for such.
