That's a bit like asking "what jetting is everyone running?".

For a start, each model has different gearing (both internal and final), so without knowing what NSR you have means the question is unanswerable!

Race gearing depends on the circuit. Basically (very basically) you want to gear top just to hit redline at the end of the longest straight. Of course, if that buggers up too many low speed corners, then you will probably have to sacrifice some high speed RPM and gear a little lower.

Too many variables.

You'll struggle to ever get geared right, the problem is really the stock gearbox, massive gaps between gears caused mainly be a low ratio first mean at some point on a lap at just about every track you're lost for a gear.

The solution is an F3 box.

Sorry for not providing the details before... It's an MC21 and it's running a standard gearset.

I thought it was worth a try! I guess it'll just be a process of elimination.

Do they still sell F3 gearseta or is a case of tracking them down??

Rolling Eyes

Incidentally, NO NSR uses a 13T front sprocket as standard. The link John provided even highlights the standard gearing on an MC21, and it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to work out the standard final drive gearing for any model if you look at the Online Parts Manual.

Come on guys, as I've said a thousand times over, you really are hard pushed NOT to find something that's covered on the Main Site or discussed/answered in the Forum already.

I've run the range of 38-44 on the rear. I run a stock front sprocket.
