hi all! i got back to hungary again, and i am running low on gas.
The problem is i was flying gas powered model air plans at home and had to mix fuel too, and i think i have mixed up the ratio between the 2 of them... checked the search with
premix
ratio
:1
oil
castrol... nothing with a good X:X came up. although some thing like 30:1 is in the back of my mind... its always best to double check. thanks!
oh and something about the washer or seal or something between the oil pump shaft and the gear box, i dont remember seeing one in my and my oil pump is not working... so now i think i know why. And YES gear oil always drain more then what i put in. thought someone said they could get a spare? will love to get one from this dude! i am using it as a road bike after all. cheers cheers! _________________ feel the wind
30:1 is a good start. It's the recommended figure from HRC, although it's for AVGAS/747 and could be considered a little "oil-rich" 10~15 years on considering modern synthetic oils and road riding conditions.
I'm not going to tell you anything different to HRC recommendations, but I would suggest experimenting a little.
There certainly should be both a washer between the engine casing and the pump shaft (to stop the shaft tearing into the alloy), and an oil seal in the bottom of the pump to stop the 2T from draining into the transmission.
My guess is that the pump was put back in place after some kind of lubrication/pump failure just to blank the holes off instead of using a proper blanking plate. _________________ Andy.

yes Andy i belive that is what they did. i belive they did not use the time to find out why the pump was not working so they did this to save the trouble. one iron ball just outside the oil tank to be precice about it. anyway want to get her back to injection, any help with parts will be great. is the washer and seal still buy able? or interchange able with something? _________________ feel the wind
finally got my mc-28 back from the mechanics after putting a 300 big bore kit in it, and am wandering what fuel/oil ratio to go with..? running it in and its doing its first track day tomorrow after getting an upgrade..!! so pumped.!! was thinking 30:1 but sounds a bit lean for a race bike..?? using motul 710

How did you go? I heard a NSR crashed big time up in Broadford over the weekend.
Yep that was me that crashed...awesome weather though.! had some new friends on the track so we went down a category to slow med group to be together.. what a mistake.. coming up to the back part, after the flip flop, your leaned over on the right hard on the gas, didnt notice but this rider decided to get on the brakes on the corner exit.. almost t-boned so pulled up and went straight up the dirt hill into the fence..my fault should have been paying more attention..bit bruised but all good.. need new forks so am now looking into USD front forks.. here so many different opinions though, you know the most cost effective ones to look out for..?
