Gsxr 400 Forks

Tue Feb 17, 2009 9:33 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Been given a set of GSXR 400 GK76 USD forks. I believe they are 50mm but waiting for them to turn up to check. Not sure if the triple clamps will fit though maybe stem sizes are wrong even to replace with the NSR stem.
Can i use the triples off something else with 50mm USD's that we know fits e.g RVF, ZXR?

Not without modifying them.

Nothing, as far as I know, fits into the NSR without a custom stem.

Information is power Ricey so thanks. Probably going to use standard GSXR400 yolks and a custom stem.

yes nice forks the gsxr ones, nice upgrade to rgv's as they are cartridge forks not the rubbish std one's, a little longer than std rgv forks too and on the nsr they may need dropping through the yokes a little. The spring wieght is more suited to a european size person too.

i had spacers made up to fit zxr400 forks to my mc18. they let you use a zxr steerer tube in nsr bearings. i just took the two sets of forks to a local engineering firm and showed them what i wanted fitting where and they had the spacers fitted to the zxr steerer the next day. cost £25.
most engineering firms wouldn't have a problem sorting it.

Sounds like a plan. I am hoping with the GSXR forks and the CBR600RR 2006 rear shock the whole package will cope with my bulk a bit better.

TYGA Paul used to have RGV forks on his MC28, so they'll have the program to run an alloy stem off for you on their CNC macine if you ask nicely.

All my stems come from TYGA.
