I'ved tried searching, but cannot find the stock setting values anywhere.
My '92 SP MC21 is understeering in corners. I'd like to check to see if the previous owner has fiddled with the settings. At this stage, I am just trying to start from an standardised reference point and check the easy, obvious and cheap things before I start servicing/taking things apart.
Other factors may be the mismatched tyres (a Bridgestone BT90f 110/70 and Michelin Pilot 150/60) both about 1/3rd worn; tweaked chassis geometry - fork tops are flush with top clamp; worn head or swingarm bearings etc; tired shock; the rider (75kg's); or a combination of any of the above.
If nothing else it gives you somewhere to start. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
NSR`s can be a bit limp in the suspension department as they are designed for lighter people. You won`t go far wrong with the settings in the tuning section, but I`d say keep the forks level with the top bridge as pulling them through the triples a bit can make the steering a bit lively for street riding.
It`s important the suspension fluid is good. Change it according to the maintenance schedule. A little extra over stock isn`t a bad thing either.
