MC28 jetting

Tue Jul 28, 2009 11:55 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

I am in the process of carrying out a few mods to my MC28.
I am fitting a set of M-max pipes, boring out the carbs, as per max recommended (33.5mm). fitting hi flow air filters, and carbon reeds.
My experience of jetting is limited, so would appreciate any recommendations as to size of main jet etc, before I start the bike and have it seize on me.

Thanks

Jeff

Hello Jeff,

I don't allow jetting discussion in the public area. People are welcome to PM you with advice, but if you wish to discuss it in open you will need to join as a supporting member and post in the Setup area.

Normally I'd drop you a PM straight away, but once you're playing with the carb bores I have no idea what effect that has.
Make sure the person who's advice you follow does.....

I refuse to answer that as detailed information will reveal too much. Wink

I'm thinking you need to be more specific with your bikes set-up. Smile

And that will be exactly why I don't allow specific jetting discussion in the public forum.

"almost the same as Jeff. HRC jet kit carb, Dogfight can etc..." is not the same is it, and could require extremely different settings. Rolling Eyes

It's much more fun to get someone to do the slapping for you... said Max Mosely! Very Happy

You've got the jet kit, it would appear Jeff hasn't, that's quite a big difference!
HRC base settings are in the tuning section...
