My mc28 is not running, is anyone have a cue?
My bike is sit in my garage more then half year, so the first thing I do is replace new spark plugs(radium), gas(91octane) and 2t oil(redline).
When I try to kick start my bike, I saw some smoke coming out from exhaust. So I think there is no problem with firing.
I kick many time, it still do the same thing, so I have no ideal wt happen to my bike.
Is anyone can help?
Thank you
Try bump starting it, it's not unusal for them to not like starting after sitting around for a while. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
I suspect the carbs are a little gummed up. Did you drain all the old fuel out of them before you stored it, and if not have you done so now?
Old fuel does go off and loose it's octane rating... _________________ MC21SP Plaything

thanks guy...
i clean my carbs today, when i putting it back i saw one of the exhaust valve control cable broken. i think it is the reason cause the bike is not running.
It will still run with even if the powervalves are not working. Not very well, but it will still run. _________________ Winning isn't everything, but loosing isn't anything
Flick the kill switch on and off ten times or better yet pop it off and clean the internals with some contact cleaner
Do the same with the ignition - on and off I mean
Check all electrical connectors are hooked up properly, clean them with contact cleaner and check that each wire is connected. Some people like to pull the connectors apart by grabbing the wires and it only takes one to recede back into the connector block to break a vital connection.
Unscrew your spark plug caps from the wire that connects them to the coils. Clean them with contact cleaner and also check they fit nice and tight onto the spark plugs. Clip 3-4mm off the wire and screw them back on.
Spark - remove a plug check for spark.
Gas - clean carb, set float height, high octane pump gas
Air filter - nice and clean
Rule #1 FULL CHOKE - NO THROTTLE
If you play with the throttle whilst trying to start a reluctant bike you will just flood it and unless you leave it for at least a half hour you are wasting your time, energy and winding yourself up for nothing!
If the bike starts and then stops a few times or starts on just one cylinder this is normal for a bike that has been sitting, if it wants to idle after this then great but still don't **** with it!
Leave it to warm up then give it a slow gentle rev.
People just can't resist that throttle, it is like a brake lever when your wheel is out, a dick magnet!

In my area 91octane is the highest i can buy from a gas station.
Don't know where i can get higher octane in my area.
Is there anything i can add to increase the octane?
caffeinejoe90 thanks for your advice.
I will try it on Thursday.
No worries - your local auto shop (car or bike) should sell 'octane booster' which will up the rating.
I would avoid the mc21 flywheel upgrade if you can't easily get higher octane juice as advancing the ignition will only increase chances of detonation.
Good luck!
Perhaps Obama needs to invade another oil producing nation so you can get some decent gas lol _________________ Stop sniffing my ring
I have another MC21.
It sit in my garage for half year like my MC28.
When i kick start the bike, it starts on just bottom cylinder.
The top cylinder is like something choke up, like not firing correctly.
First i thought it may be the spark plugs, so I replace a new ones.
Then i start it again, it still the same problem occurred.
Is the top end need to be replace, or the card need to be clean?
It is running pre-mix.
thanks
