MC18 R5/6k crankshaft exploded view

I have recently created a .pdf showing the MC18 R5/6k crankshaft in an
exploded view. I thought that some people on the forum might find it useful.

I have recently been pressing apart a few crankshafts to try and get enough
good bits to make a decent crankshaft assembly.

I need item numbers 2 and 3 shown on the first page of the .pdf.
Basically they are the 2 central crank webs.
Can anyone help me out here?
If you do happen to have some spare crank webs that have the associated journals (crank pins) in excellent condition then please let me know.
Obviously I am not interested if there are signs of brinelling or the hardened layer has been chipped or damaged.

I had to laugh at the picture on your link that has "evidence of corrosion". What program are you drawing with? The resolution is still good at 300%

I used the Solid Edge CAD package to do the drawings. Version ST2.
This should not be confused with SolidWorks, a more commonly used CAD package.
Might have to reword the "evidence of corrosion" paragraph in the link. That picture was just meant to show the crank webs I was referring to.

I have just come to realise that the centre right crank web is not quite right.
Also, I added a view showing the centre main bearing with its integral seal.

well done bro, thanks for your effort. During your studying of the centre seal - can you see how you might get a situation where upon reassembling the engine and leak testing, cross leakage through the centre seal happens in one direction but seals 100% in the other direction?

I've had this happen twice now and after running the engine for maybe half an hour it just cures itself and seals 100% in both directions. Like something seats itself properly and the problem dissapears. Weird i know.

Hope my description makes sense! Just wondered if this rang any bells with anyone else?

Well, without thinking about it too hard, I suppose I could imagine that there may be some leakage from the right primary compression volume through to the left primary compression volume.

This thinking is just based on the way the centre bearing seal pushes onto the sealing boss on the centre right hand crank web, and the shape of the rubber seal lip. Maybe after a bit of time the sharp sealing edge of the seal wears to be a bit more flat and starts to seal a bit better?

But I am just exercising my imagination here; trying to agree with you for no real reason other than to be nice. Which way around have you experienced leakage?

Maybe if I think a bit more about the pressure dynamics of the 2 primary combustion volumes, I may be able to agree/disagree more strongly? Right now I can't remember which way the crankshaft spins, so I'll get back to you.

It leaks right to left or lower cylinder to upper cylinder.

I take them up to 8 psi, one at a time. With the left/upper cyl - it holds 8psi with no readable drop for atleast 10 minutes.

With the right/lower side, there is an immediate drop before reaching 8psi. It seems to hold ok at no higher than ~3 but any more than that and down she goes. It takes maybe 2 minutes ish to drop from 8 to 3psi.

I have a blank that allows me to test one side and blank the other inlet off, sealing the engine as a whole. With this in, the right side loses pressure at first, but leaks more and more slowly before stopping and holding pressure 100% - once the left side has become pressurised by leakage from the right. This test was of course the proof that it could only be an issue with the center seal.

After repeated tests the left side always sealed 100% without fail.

Then as i said i'd run it for half an hour or so - come in and put a new test on. This time both sides would seal 100% - a happy outcome but it'd be nice to firgure out what causes the cross leak before hand and what causes it to cure itself after!
