went on line to order a new o ring for rear wheel sprocket holder. got Honda part number and determined size to be M2x48 (2mm cross section, 48 mm ID). i didn't realize there are so many different types of compounds and hardness' used. does anyone know material compound type and hardness? any recommendations where to go? _________________ MC21R9N track

Any particular reason for not ordering a Honda one?
It's not a critical seal, it's just a dust seal to keep grime out of the back of the carrier bearing and the wheel bearing, so its composition isn't really that important.
I'd just get a "medium soft" one so it gives a little when fitting the carrier into the wheel... if I couldn't get the Honda one, that is! _________________ Andy.

I don't find this item on Tyga's website. Can I order one from a local Honda dealer? Are there standard parts that can be cross referenced to current production numbers? Or do the parts numbers remain the same through the years. I assumed Honda would no longer support this part and thought i could just order from direct from manufacturer on line. That's when i learned about all the different materials and hardness' available. Thanks.

In the UK you can go into any Honda dealer and order any part that shows as in stock, the part 91302-KV3-700 (which is the part I presume you're after) has been superceeded by part 91311-KE8-000 and can be bought for € 2.50 here if you can't find it locally. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
The CMSNL parts finder knows all the superceeded parts numbers, sometimes the Honda dealers don't so anything a Honda dealer tells you is discontinued is worth checking. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
a very useful tool. thank you. been feeling like a dummy multiple times in my search for nsr knowledge. of course Honda makes parts that interchange with other motorcycles and of course these parts remain available. why didn't i think of that?
