Hi all, my 21 is jetted and putting out 63.7 hp at the wheel on the dyno using tyga pipes and open carbs with standard gear in them (big mj of course), i have a hrc kit in which i want to install but really wondering if its worth it so my real question is how much more power do you think i can get out of her using the kit??
is 80hp acheivable??
cheers for all the help
I don`t think you will get more horsepower but the deliverey of the power with the adjustabilaty that a HRC kit gives you you can make the bike a lot smoother through the throtle positions and end up with a smoother power curve
Presuming that's a Dynojet dyno calibrated correctly it's probably getting towards the most power you're going to see without some level of modification, even if that modification is "just" setting everything exactly as it should be.
The benefit of the jet kit isn't (just) peak power, it's the setup options it gives, much of which is lost on the amateur racer and virtually all of which is lost on the road. I mean who checks their weather station (actually, who's got one and keeps accurate records?) then thinks "ooh, it's 4 degrees cooler and 10% drier, I'd best drop the needle a clip"?
80 bhp? Probably not (that's NX5 RS power, and a good RS at that. There will be plenty of privately owned, safely setup Aprilia GP bikes that don't make 80bhp) and definately not without a huge amount of internal engine work, race fuel and a 200km rebuild schedule. _________________ Please do not PM me technical questions, if you can't find it on the Forum start a thread
