HRC 030 Card on MC-28

Fri May 06, 2005 9:38 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

Anyone know if you need to rejet if switching from a stock card to a HRC 030 card?

I don't know what jets I am using right now but I believe I have a stock engine with Jha pipes.

I'm not after an immediate power gain right now as I believe I will need to rejet to maximize performance. I just want to know if I use the HRC card with my current jet settings, will the HRC card blow up my engine.

I am assuming the worst that can happen is there is no change in power.

Thanks

The HRC card advances the timing which will increase the risk of detonation under load and I think I read somewhere it removes any restriction in the higher gears (the same effect was wiresplicing a '21 so it always thinks it's in third) which will increase the amount of load the engine is capable of generating thus exasperating any fueling issues.

I wouldn't run it (especially at high revs in high gears) without having it checked unless I was a plug chop expert (which I'm not).

And mine both (standard and HRC 030) work on the bike with the splice although Andy says others have not.
