first start up hrc card

Fri Aug 12, 2011 7:07 am » Post: #1 » Download Post

hi guys

i have got a second dash with matching hrc (30) card for my 28

when i pluged it in, I went to set the valves by unplugging the tps and nothing

they didnt open

I was under the impression that the loom splice was needed to get the lights etc to work with the hrc card, do i also need to splice the loom to get the valves to open with the hrc card

or is my spare PGM knackered?

thanks

paul

Don't throw it away, Keep it for spares or repairs... Else I'd take it off your hands =D

bit gutted right now but need a new plan

half way through this build so next best thing is going to be a mc21 flywheel or offset woodruff key

does anyone know how much offset is equivalent to putting the 21 flywheel on the 28?

Paul hi,

if the power valves don't working and the cause is the PGM-IV then there is no problem... Contact this member "2T Institute" and send it to him in order to fix it for you... Also check here http://www.twostrokeracelab.com/ Nick his name... Great guy and very helpful...

Cheers
Michael

I believe that the Mc21 flywheel has about 2 degrees more static advance.
You can swap to a Mc21 flywheel, buy a Tyga pre-made woodruff key or machine off your own woodruff key in 0.1mm increments until you find the desirable performance.

Please, keep in mind that more ignition advance radically leans the fuel mixture. Mc28 bikes are way rich to start but don't count on that and do a spark plug chop.
