Battery issuse.

Wed Aug 17, 2011 1:36 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

I have a issuse on my mc28, for the last one an a half year have change 3 battery.
The charging is fine, have tested with multi-meter. But i still can't connect two head light as if so, after a month the batt will go below the start up voltage. Therefore, till now only one head light is connected. But still have a problem, when i open throttle, the light go brigther and dim at normal.
I still wonder what wrong with it, some people tell me it normal which i don't really think so.
Anyway, can i connect two batt on my bike? Have anyone try? i really don't like the throttle up the light get brighter and dim when i release it or apply brake.
Can anyone advice me? thank.

Sounds like the stator has gone wrong, some coils must have gone out of the circuit.

There is a fitment coming out of the stator on the LH side of your bike that has 5 wires on it.
You will find that there are three cables with identical color (most probably "yellow").
Check that they are all shorted together or else you will have to replace or repair the stator.

I'm only very new to NSR's but CBR's had a similar problem that was common normally caused by the regulator/ rectifier.
