hi i have a nsr 250 mc 16 , been giving me endless problems , thought maybe you guys could please help me out. Firstly when i start the bike the oil light does not go off and it does not smoke as it used to , secondly when i start it , it idles for a while then cuts off sometimes but never starts again, and now if i turn the throttle while idling it cuts off, please help all advise is welcome.

Have you filled it up with oil?

Is the fuel tap on?

yes fill with oil and the tap is open.

changed a fuel filter now it starts first kick, but oil light is not going off and there is enough oil in the bottle? i checked the thingy when you turn the throtel it turns for the the oil pump, but still not smoking , any idea what problems i may be experiencing?

Have you pulled the oil feed pipes off by the carb to see if oils coming through. Also try bleeding the oil pump. Theres alittle screw on the pump body you undo to let air out.
