Hi, I have just read the feature about adjusting power valves in the Dec issue of Practical Sportsbikes. The method described for adjusting the NSR RC valve is quite different (and more straight forward) than the method described in the tuning sections available on this forum.... what do the experience members think to the PB method...? any advice would be appreciated.. Cheers.
i adjust it my way, i have marked the servo motor at its highest point when motor is fully revved and then adjust the valves until they are wide open..
Yeah, seems like a very simple procedure in the mag, (or your method) to find the max opening of the servo then adjust the valve to suit. The honda method involved disconnecting the tps.... how does this affect things, is it just so that a pre-set servo pulley position can be obtained... and then the valve adjusted to a ccrresponding pre-set position?..without having to make your own mark..?
Mark your servo motor , make some marks on the barrels where they are open correctly and then next time you have to you just line up your own marks .
The first time getting set up will be a pain with pipes on and off but next time a breeze .
