Does anyone know if the front brake calipers are the same for the NC30 & the MC21?
Now I've fitted the new 1991 RS front forks I'm finding the calipers foul against the discs.
Andy, When you had these forks fitted, did you use the RS calipers?
Get yourself the brembo callipers but you will need the adaptor plates . You can feel the difference . You can modify the 21 callipers to fit too . Heath Robinson did it .
Iv'e fitted brembos to my 21 Roy, and the difference is very noticeable, well worth the effort if your racing i would have thought, im not, but i had em any way. _________________ Proud Father of , 05 ktm 400exc supermoto 2018 honda crf rx supermoto
I'm using NF5 calipers, HEL lines, and a CBR1000RR radial master cylinder, and the brakes are incredible. HRC cast iron discs too though, with awesome FCM pads.
I don't think you'll have any issues with NC30 calipers, and of course no problem at all with NF5 items (if you have some or can find them - plus they have trick little Q/R pins!). The biggest difference I found was replacing the master cylinder with a modern radial one.
All those parts are simple bolt-ons too. No adaptor brackets, which I think personally look a bit "clumpy". _________________ Andy.

OK, unmodified NSR250 calipers cannot be used. I was alluding to standard bolt-on parts.
For most, sourcing a set of NC30 calipers is ultimately easier, cheaper, and more viable than buying the special socket to strip NSR calipers, stripping them, machining them, finding replacement seals, and then rebuilding them. _________________ Andy.

Is the much difference between NC30 and NF5 Calliper forks and disks?
A huge difference. It's heyday HRC vs. mass production.
Outwardly, little difference, except for the compression dampening adjusters on the [late] NF5 fork bottoms, and the NF5 calipers having the Q/R pad pins. The operation and quality of the internals however, are fit for GP.
Even I noticed the difference going from NSR forks to NF5 forks, and I'm neither fast nor talented. _________________ Andy.
