That's awesome Mark, what a season you have had Mr. Green

Iv'e all ways wondered what it would be like to go racing and where i would get to if i did but i guess ive not got the balls or i would have done so by now and with 50 staring me in the face (or is that the mirror reminding me) ..... then its not gonna happen now .. hummm...

What's the feeling like when you win a race?

Whats the feeling like when you win a championship?

Hey, ive got a great tip for you, dont forget to tighten your reed screws up else you might drop championship points Laughing Laughing

Looks like those TZ's give you a run for your money, what's the score on the pro's and cons of the RS vs the TZ?

Congrats anyway, impressive.

Congratulations, Mark! Excellent job! Will we see you and the RS at our Donington day next summer?

Simon, I can tell you one major benefit of the RS over the TZ... simplicity! TZ spares however, are generally cheaper and easier to get. It's massively over-complicated though, just like the TZR road bikes compared to the NSRs.

Quite an achievement isnt it Andy, Chuffed to bits to see what these bikes can do outside of track days with a very good rider on them. The world is your lobster when you have an RS Laughing

And ... noted Andy Very Happy

They seem, from what i can glean, to have more power than the R Esses

However, i have now got two new cranks and asociated gubbins for mine ..... so thats me ok ... for at least a year with my supreme spannering skills Wink

Thank you.

The cup class runs on the same grid as the National class, so all my "wins" are class wins, not on the road.

I've only won one race, which was the TSGP at Donington earlier in the year. NG were hosting a round of the TSGP series, so I thought I'd give it a go. Actually, it may have been two races. I won the TSGP meeting overall though, that I do remember.

NG run more than just the 250gp class, where the RS is eligible. For newcomers, there's the newcomers race. There's also the open 500 class.

I've had a look at a couple of TZ's. Yes, they look complicated. The layout isn't as simple as the RS. Four cables for two power valves... Why??

The later TZ's are quick. Especially off slow corners from what I've seen. I think Yamaha were still developing the TZ long after Honda had given up on the RS.

I'd like to have a go on one of your trackdays, but it depends how it falls with race dates. The summer one was well placed date wise, but I had pins in my hand at the time... I did still call in though and from what I saw there were some pretty handy riders out there... You lot could add 50% to the 250gp grid Wink

Go on, you know you want to... Smile

Thank you

Yes, you should! I only started last year and can't believe how much I've enjoyed it. There's so much more to it than just the racing.
