Well, a very impressive showing at Llandow track day by the RGV boys and girls, a good show from the RD crowd, but what a piss poor effort by the NSR lot!!
Thanks to Nigel for bringing his Rossi rep, and the mystery lady on her NSR150SP, but apart from that we were well disappointed! Nigel's MC21 was definitely the bike of the day, as it was the only 250 to show!
The Ball & Chain and I did a Tesco's run last night and stocked up on bottles of Coke, Mars bars/Twix's, sandwiches and cakes etc., but there was no-one to share it all out with!!
So, I hope there's going to be a better turn out for the next meet! No talk at the last minute of "oh, I can't go now because..." - if you can't walk the walk, don't talk the talk!!!!! :)
well you all missed a good day
well i have to admit i didnt take the 21 out after 6 months of building and a new paint job i didnt want to get it dirty should have taken it out just before dinner as it was nearly dry then said i was going out after dinner then it pissed down so spent all day on the vj23
weather wasnt great but great fun all the same even a few deisels to take advantage of through the twisty bits
the lady on the 150 is the wive /girlfriend of one of the lads from the rgv forum just like my other half only recently passed her test hence both going rather slowly but hey thet were there having a go good on them i say
we have to make a better turn out next time there giving us a slating over on the rgv forum something about not wanting to get shown up by the suzukis
Well what can one say about that.
First i would like to say a big thank you to A1 track days for a good fun day with a good atmosphere and turn out.
Another shout to the RD and RGV forums for a good turn out and some nice tricked up 350s.
Nigels nsr was great to see, a lovely show bike for sure. He was also a good sport going round on his vj23 in the rain.
So were did all the nsrs go? any body can talk about bolting go faster bits on and doing fast laps from an armchair, it would seem doing it for real is another thing.
If i can wobble round on a 30hp crosser in the wet all day any body should be able to turn up and have a go. Even my mate went round on his hornet900 in the wet, so any nsr could have.
A geat day and i hope more folk will turn up for he next one and have a laugh, nobodys out to set newlap records, less talk more real world action please.
just scanning through so i thought i'd reply. both the nsr's looked very nice! the red white rd350f2 with the rgv running gear was mine - i didnt take it out cos it was on brand new tyres, and i was having too much fun on my little TZR125 anyway!
A very big thanks to EVERYONE for attending this day, all the smiling faces and positive feedback made this a pleasure to organise ie no problems.
A special thanks to andy for letting us use this forum ,without this site i wouldnt have a new buisness, the same applies to www.rgv 250.co .uk (top turn out) Nsr world , WILL DO BETTER NEXT TIME!!(with the Rossi paint job, this bike was stunning) 400cc greybike & KR1 s lads .
Friday night the sleepy village of Llandow had a wake up call and the local coppers cruised the area on the look - out for Paulo// a dodgy geezer with a cam-corder who had been reported too be filming EVERY van in the area ,after a full interrogation and body cavity search he was then released (with a big smile)
The coppers now on full alert the secret was out , they had to bring in the reserves, Impressa at the ready they hid in a dimly lit field with only sheep for company( how many sheep can you fit in a Impressa
Saturday morning ,the sun rose high in the sky(blatant lie) little did they know Paulo had been filming their night time activitys so once again he got wisked away for another grilling.
Slowly but surely, vans of all sorts made their way through the high securety barriers to the top secret venue of stalagluft Llandow.
The biggest suprise to the organisers was that the HUGE figure of BLADEBEATEREATER was found fully kitted out ,entry papers in hand ,with his BBQ trolly already glowing (rumour was he had been there since last christmas)
This fella was the first to feel the wrath, so after a bit of a struggle ,the straight jacket was Squeezed on to his massive carcass and was dragged off, his crime loose head stock bearings; a crime that would not go unpunished
The scrutineers of Gary and Matty goosed stepped the now filling compound , bikes of all description were found to be lacking in many areas,ie no brakes (Paulo again) leaking fork seals (z11oor?)(soon sorted with a grubby tea-towel) oh dear ! to many offenders to list
OGR & Racer Dan had spent the morning mixing up secret potions to fuel up the TZ , but to no use , as they had forgotten to put the pistons in the right way up ! (These racer types should know better ).
Hier von Tony (weird beard) Summond all to zee briefing at 09;50 hrs .
Rules were made clear (again) pitty no- one took much notice
White group 1 lined up ,two stroke fumes filled the grid, the time was right, the weather dry and sunny (another lie)
A massive shock was sent through the compound as ALL the machines followed the instructor (gsxr 1000)(dean)
The lone huge figure of BLADEBEATEREATER made a break for the armco but to avail , drive chain off, his escape plan foiled again
With groups 2 /3 out for a good hammering with no incidents ,the morning soon passed by, Luncheon was served in the huge dining facility at 12;45 hrs, it was soon realised that the confusion was massive as not one of the inmates new how to use a knife and fork!
Spoons were distributed out to all, the gruewl hurriedly consumed .
The inigma machine head recieved a urgent message * Gavin & Ash had been found and were now being dragged into the lower paddock *
The scruitineers were urgently despatched to this gruesome pair , all was not well ,zee paperwork was incorrect and no matter how many machines they dragged out of the Fiat Cinqueccento ALL proved not worthey ie bald tyres ,knackered this and that, things looked bad until ASH appeared from the glove box (hiding).
He had been also trying to conceal a secret weapon , a TZR 125 which was a little jewel, this machine was later seen taking many scalps , going round the huge banked curve with back wheel steering and sliding out (i was in hot pursuit but it was impossible to carry on- my bladder couldnt hold on due to laughing so hard).
The chief marshall seemed to be doing a little dance and jumping up and down with black flag ,waving to a stroker, but it was no use .
The Rules had been ignored :he had to be punished, with machine gun at the ready he bit the newly laid : tarmac at turn one , Racer Dan was found out to be the guilty party .
His father (ogr) was summond ( not pleased) His pants were swiftly removed by his daddy and his bear ass spanked for some time( Paulo filmed the whole incident)_
This event made the gathering hoards of inmates calm down a little for the rest of the afternoon ;with ONE EXEPTION .
WB : This fella had been lurking around on a variety of machinery all day increasing his speed with skill and cunning.
Rs 250 time, in stealth colors was his option for this long termer .
With huge speed his final escape attempt was impressive (collusion with the parramedics was his option) With a gracefull leap over the 2m armco it was straight of to Brazil (via Cowbridge Hospital ).
Evidence(wreckage) was soon collected , but even the dose of Scarpolamine (Trueth drug) was administered to his grinning fiance. ( she was later relased with no charges as she was far to cute and rides a nsr 150 (repsol) with skill and care (she only passed her test a couple of weeks ago) Very brave this one ; she caught the attention of all the inmates( and the chief commandant)
Parole was iminant for all the riders as the release time was approaching for most
Virginty now lost by all, the barbed wire and gates were removed and the masses were once against released to the community (under care orders) which is the world of cyberspace.
More stupidity will follow with your support in the next few months so dont miss the next exiting episode
Well, that allowed me to enjoy the day all over again, Herr Von Nutty!! ;)
Racer Dan did need the black flag for his final move up the inside into the chicane, but he was entertaining!
Gavin, that 350F2 of yours looks superb, but that TZR125 brought the old memories of yesteryear flooding back! Congratulations too, for having what I reckon was probably the noisiest bike of the day... no air filter by any chance? Certainly sounded like the deep "booorp" of an open carb!
Talk of the (end of the) day was the possibility of a Rockingham booking. This sounds really promising, so let's keep our fingers crossed, and I'll try and make sure there's a better showing of NSR's next time! If we can produce half as many as the RGV crowd, it'll be a bloody good turn out. I'm still impressed by how many of them were there!
Now, if only we'd arranged a bit more of a gathering for the Friday evening... that would've made for an interesting couple of days!!! :)
Next time, eh?!
By the way, it was said by many that a Saturday was a definte bonus!!
certainly am all booked in and paid for. new shock comming from sri lanka (if i ever get it!!!!!!) new visor came yesterday.
very excited cant wait.
sorry i didnt make it to wales but to ride 140 miles do a trackday then ride home is asking for trouble.........feel bad now _________________ MC21SP - Roth-tax

cheers andy the tzr is still running the std filter and airbox......but the airbox has been modded quite a bit!
not slow either is it? ive got to get it on a dyno soon, see if the Mota predicted 34bhp is correct! certianly feels about right!
Bloody hell! 34hp out of the little old TZR125 is getting up there a bit, isn't it?!
I bought one back in '94 to take my test on. I did a 3 day course but remember being told off by my instructor on the first day for turning up on it with a Swarbrick pipe and open airbox! I'd also made up a YPVS servo kit from RD350 stuff and a TZR250 control unit all bought from AK in Bristol.
I got told off the second day for speeding on the dual carriageway too! Well, he had told me "don't hang around once you're on it - get up to the speed of the other traffic ASAP"!! :D
I'd imagine HP of mine was only in the low 20's, but still a flier. Shame I have no pictures of it. When I sold it it was in plain Ducati yellow with gun metal wheels and a custom made yellow screen by Acerbis. Only painted in cellulose but done by a friend who is a real "old school" panel beater... the finish on the paint looked like glass - not a single swirl mark in it, and it looked as good as it went! One week later however, the spotty 17 year-old who bought it had crashed it, wiped out the Swarbrick, and painted the whole thing matte black!!
