There are very subtle differences, but a lot can be interchanged given time and facilities. However, not much is a direct bolt-on replacement, and the later the NF5 the less interchangeable parts are with an NSR.
Front wheel is very easy. Axle size is the same, spacers are similar (will need to mix'n'match NSR and RS spacers depending on the wheel, but all OEM parts can be used), and the disc PCD is the same, however the later NF5s (1989~ I think) uses a larger 296mm disc.
Rear wheel will need fiddling with, but it will go. Axle size, once again, is the same as the RS. You just need to get the chain run and rear disc correct. _________________ Andy.

Thanks Andy, really usefull info.
I'l see if i can find a rear wheel and have at go at fitting it. I think MC21 rear wheels look ideal, are the standard and mag wheel the same dimensions?
And none of the NSR's use 296mm disks? But what about VFRs?
I think those are NC30 calipers, or something similar. NF5 [RWU fork] calipers should be graphite grey/black, have quick release pad pins, and the halves secured with allen bolts, instead of the usual Torx bolts. _________________ Andy.

I have a "spare" set of NF5 calipers kicking around somewhere... I think they could be bolted to a set of '91 NF5 RWU forks that are sat in StephenRC45's cellar. I'll see if I can get him to take some photos tomorrow.
Outwardly though, apart from the quick release pad pins, the castings appear as good as identical. (As said previously however, they're not!) _________________ Andy.
