Brake fluid level

Sun Jun 21, 2015 12:43 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi guys

When filling the reservoir do I fill to the correct level and then fold the rubber boot inside itself before fitting and then top cap on?
The rubber is quite big in length so brings the fluid up to over flowing the reservoir.
Some reservoirs have a rubber that is straight across so isn't an issue.
My bike is an mc16.
Thanks in advance.

Daz

The level should be at the upper mark with the rubber diaphragm fitted.

It might sound obvious, but just in case, sometimes the diaphragm can be "sucked" inside out if the fluid or pads run low, so make sure it's fitted correctly.

Thanks for reply Andy
The diaphramn is quite deep so I presume I fill reservoir to low mark and when diaphramn is fitted it brings level up to top mark?
Cheers
