Wed Aug 12, 2015 12:24 pm » Post: #1 » Download Post

Hi to all !

I have to assemble my NSR Sp engine, I ask if for assembly the crank on cranckcase the bearing crank

they must be blocked to the crankcase with loctite?

I read that some people use high temperature grease

I want to avoid the bearing can move on the crankcase (Sliding)

Thanks

Alessandro

P.S sorry for my bad english Sad

The workshop manual tells you to apply 3 bond 1207b to the mating surfaces of the crank case halves only, nothing to the bearings.

The bearings have oil feed holes which align with holes on the crank case, you risk blocking these if you apply sealer to the bearing surfaces.
